INF3832: Web Design - Homework Assignments

Website Project

For this course you will be required to create a complete website. The website should have a clearly defined topic/theme. This should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I recommend that you choose a topic that you have a real interest in or that you feel strongly or passionate about. Types of sites that students have created in the past include:

The project will be graded twice during the semester, the first time after the midterm and the second time at the end of the semester.

The site should consist of at least several pages with a clear mechanism to navagate between pages. Layout should be clear and effective. Your grade will be based on content, style and the use of the various web technologies we will learn about. The site should NOT look like a collection of examples of how to use HTML. Rather it should be a "real" site that contains meaningful content.

Websites generally evolve over time. I therefore recommend that you encorporate different techniques into your website as we learn about them. Your site will grow and "morph" over the course of the semester.

You should use the techniques that we will learn about where they are appropriate.
